Inmate Text App
Inmate texting apps are a great method to stay in touch with a family member or friend who is currently in jail. These apps have been specifically made to be compliant with prison regulations and permit family members and friends to send and receive messages, photos, eCards, video calls, as well as money to their trust account in prison. There are additional federal inmate apps that provide additional services like phone calls and video visits.
The JPay application, for instance, enables family and friends to easily pay money into an inmate's trust account, along with email, photos videos, eCards, and eCards. It also lets them create personal postcards using photos of their own. It's a safer, more secure alternative to regular mail.
Another popular texting app for prisoners is GettingOut. It offers "simple reliable, safe communication" between inmates and their loved family members. The app, which is available in certain correctional facilities, allows inmates to upload pictures and send messages to their families and friends via their tablets. It costs inmates $0.25 for each message and loved ones pay for the data used to access their messages (but not for explicit pictures). You can also use the GettingOut app to share images on text inmate Facebook or Foursquare and check in on Foursquare and then include a video in upload to YouTube upload.
